Waiting | At the office

Canon PowerShot SD400
Even working in a fashion office, we don't always have store mannequins around...we use functional dressforms, after all. Taken with the crappy office camera.

Happy Halloween! | West Village

jasminelucha.jpg

Canon A630
Jasmine's awesome costume...even though we were all dressed as luchadoras, she's the only one who didn't just wear regular clothes with her mask. Love the commitment...and love any photos of her just going about doing regular things while wearing the mask.

Sleeper hit, Film Forum | West Village

Canon A630
Dozing before he even entered the theatre. We were there for "Control" with all the nostalgic Joy Division and New Order fans, most of whom were around our age. Not sure what he was there for.

Abandoned house | Madrid, New Mexico

Madrid is another ghost town back from the dead, filled with artists, shops and memorabilia from its days as a mining town.

Tiny Town is a bizarre collection of kitschy objects just outside Madrid, like an ornate junkyard.

Cerrillos | Turquoise Trail, New Mexico

Ghost town Cerrillos is actually still going strong as a little collection of shops and simple residences. The random oil cans leading toward town from the main Turquoise Trail made for a better photo op.

Traditional homes | Taos Pueblo, New Mexico

pueblomtns.jpg

Olympus OM-2n | Kodak Tri-X 400
While the morning is a better experience because of the smaller crowds, I feel that afternoon light might provide a better chance of shooting the mountains in the background of beautiful Taos Pueblo. B/w turned out OK compared to color but still not much definition there.

Cemetery | Taos Pueblo, New Mexico

Cemetery near the ruins of the old San Geronimo church. Taos Pueblo is an oft-photographed beautifully-preserved historical Indian village. A very popular destination, I found people waiting anxiously with me at 8AM on a Monday while the pueblo opened late, and by 10AM was surrounded by tourists.
