SCREENPRINTED BAGS
Natural canvas tote bag screenprinted with original design by Puzzlebox Art Studio's teaching artist. Artist followed my direction & photos of Umphieum Refugee Camp (2012) and Mae Sot town (2013). I worked with a Chiang Mai-based artist to correctly size and modify the art to be silkscreened by hand. I designed the tote bags to fit a 15" laptop, with three interior pockets and magnet closure, and the messenger bags with three interior pockets and zip closure. I trained Puzzlebox staff to cut the pattern and taught local tailors to construct the bags. Leftover scraps were used to make pouch wallets.
