I've lived by the museum for 3 1/2 years and somehow never noticed that mini Statue of Liberty in the parking lot.

Did only girls read those VC Andrews books? I was so addicted to them. "My Sweet Audrina" was particularly creepy.

First rolls of DIY color.
I'm not convinced pushing negative film works. I've had bad results from labs and was sick of paying extra for bad results...the ability to push is one of my favorite parts of b/w developing and one of the reasons I decided to try C41 developing. But in general I'm not sure the results are any different than just post-processing underexposed film. They seem pretty dark before lightening in PS and are super grainy once lightened.
Like in this photo, I don't see how the extra stop really bought me anything... ISO 800 probably could have handled this.

I've been practicing developing my own color film lately. Which meant I had to shoot lots of color film to have something to practice on, much more than usual. Seems somewhat counterproductive considering I ALSO recently started darkroom printing again and thus also need to be shooting plenty of black-and-white to practice printing, but such is life. It's funny finally seeing some of these pictures, as I'd been saving rolls for so long so I could develop a bunch in one go and not worry about chemical expiration.
This in particular was shot before I'd hit upon the idea of the Shoot the Freak documentary project. Perhaps in mid-June. Was still shooting color in Coney Island, and not focusing on any particular aspect. Feels like ages ago.
