Bandelier National Monument | New Mexico

Before heading to New Mexico, I noted that I saw VERY few good photos of Bandelier online. I wasn't sure why, but it turned out that if I couldn't get good photos out of professionals, I shouldn't expect too much either. I can't put my finger on it...maybe it's the lighting...but I found Bandelier difficult to shoot well. Infrared saved the day. Suddenly, good shots were much easier to get.

One of many stops along the road the road to pull over and have a picnic. As a designated scenic byway, Jemez makes it quite easy on drivers who want to take many photos.

Angel | Union Square

One of my favorite things about New Yorkers is how whenever we see someone dressed or acting crazily, we studiously ignore that person. Sometimes it's a bad quality, like pretending not to see someone in genuine need; but when someone is foolishly dressed as an angel to promote a yoga studio in one of NYC's most commercial neighborhoods, I think this reaction is easily understood.
